Virgin Islander Michelle Smith won her 400m Hurdle heat in 58.35 and advanced to the Semi-Final for the World Athletic U20 Championships in Cali, Colombia on Tuesday August 2, 2022.
On Wednesday August 3 at 3:05 pm Michelle Smith ran in the 2nd semi-final out of Lane 6. Michelle Smith set a New Virgin Islands National Junior record of 57.83 in the Semi-Final of the 400m Hurdles at the World Athletic U20 Championships in Cali, Colombia. Smith placed 2nd in her race and automatically qualified for the final on Thursday August 4.
