147 Cross Country athletes competed in the SCIAA Cross Country Championship on Wednesday November 2 at the Cross Country course in Estate Negro Bay, St. Croix. The top 5 runners of each team scored points according to their place. In Cross Country the team with the lowest score wins.
In the Girls Elementary 1 mile race Good Hope Country Day won the team championship with their runners finishing in 1, 2, 3, 7, 13, giving them a total score of 26 points. Lew Muckle finished in 2nd place in the team standing with the runners finishing in positions 6, 11, 17, 24, 25 for a total score of 83. In 3rd place in the team standings was Free Will Baptist Christian School with a total score of 98 and their athletes finishing in 9, 12, 20, 28, 29.

Ricardo Richards finished in 2nd place in the team standing with the runners finishing in positions 7, 8, 17, 20, 22 for a total score of 74. In 3rd place in the team standings was Free Will Baptist Christian School with a total score of 81 and their athletes finishing in 12, 14, 15, 19, 21.

The next Cross Country race on St. Croix will be the Virgin Islands National Cross Country Championship for the U14 1 Mile Race, U17/U20 2 Mile Race and Open 5K Race. The VI National CC Championship will be held on November 12, 2022 at 7:00 am at Estate Negro Bay, St. Croix. Athletes from the St. Thomas/St. John district will travel to St. Croix to compete for the Championship Title.
