The Virgin Islands Track and Field Federation started off the 2022 Cross Country Season in St. Croix with the VI Labor Day 5K Cross Country Race at the new Cross Country course in Negro Bay. 

William Bohlke was the overall winner in 18:59. Bridget Klein finished in first place for the females in a time of 20:30. Nathan Langley was the first male student to cross the finish line in 21:36 and Kennedy James was the first female student in a time of 30:08.

VI Labor Day 5K Cross Country Race Results

The next Cross Country race will be the 2 by Metric Mile Trail Relay on October 1st, on the same Cross Country course in Negro Bay. Teams consisting of 2 athletes each will be competing against each other. Each athlete on the team will run 1500 meters, which is just short of a mile, on the smaller loop of the course. The first runner completes the loop and tags the 2nd runner who will then complete the same loop. The team with the fastest total time in their category wins. Come out and enjoy a fun event!!
